Sutton United vs Arsenal: Player ratings. Perez and Chamberlain impress again

Ospina 4

Kept a clean sheet but was very fortunate. At one point passed straight to a Sutton player and was lucky not to concede.

Gabriel 5

Despite those decent couple of games at right back, Gabriel is not good enough to play for Arsenal in any position.

Mustafi 6

Had an ok game. Hard to really be too critical but needs a few decent games after a poor run.

Holding 7

Another good, solid game for the youngster. Deserves a chance in the team ahead of Gabriel if Koscielny is out for a while.

Monreal 5

Gibbs has been chosen over Monreal recently and this was another poor game for the Spaniard. Almost caught out by Roarie Deacon in the first half.

Xhaka 5

Booked again for a very soft foul. His reputation seems to get him booked for things that you’ll never see another player booked for.

Elneny 5

Failed to have much of an impact on the game before going off at half time with an injury.

Lucas 7

Another good game for the forward. His agent has reportedly said that he wants to leave the club but surely he deserves a chance in the coming weeks.

Reine-Adelaide 5

Not the best game for the 19-year-old. Struggled to hold onto the ball and never really got into the game.

Iwobi 5

Like Reine-Adeaide, struggled to really get into the game. He was the recipient of a dreadful challenge but other than that it was a forgettable night.

Walcott 6

Scored his 100th goal for the club but it wasn’t the best game for Arsenal’s captain on the night.

Oxlade-Chamberlain (For Elneny 46) 7

Perhaps Arsenal’s best player once he came on. Another good performance in the centre of midfield for Chamberlain.

Maitland-Niles (For Reine-Adelaide 74) 5

Came on too late to have any impact on the game

Sanchez (For Iwobi 74) 6

Should never have been brought on. There was no upside at all to bringing him on.
