What Jurgen Klopp had to say about Arsenal today
Tomorrow Arsenal will head to Anfield to take on Liverpool in what could prove to be a key match in the race for Champions League qualification.
Here is what the opposition manager, Jurgen Klopp, had to say ahead of the game at today’s press conference.
Dejan Lovren could play after missing the past few games with injury but Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson are set to miss out.
When asked about the loss to Leicester he said:
“We didn’t expect to be that bad against Leicester. Buu there were a lot of reasons why we played that bad.”
He went on to say: “We have already analysed it. I can’t keep it in my backpack. Now it’s about Arsenal – completely different style.”
And about the game earlier in the season where Liverpool left the Emirates with a 4-3 win.
“I can’t say too much about Arsenal. The start was like it is in an ideal world, a free-flowing start. We are now in the middle of the season, and we thought it makes sense to try to deliver again on Saturday! I am 100% optimistic again when I think about the Arsenal game on Saturday.”
Arsenal’s record against Liverpool of late has not exactly been good. Klopp sounds optimistic and we will need to be at our best to get anything from this game despite their poor run of form.
