Jack Wilshere is out until October, Arsene Wenger has confirmed. Wenger has been very vague on Wilshere’s comeback date when
asked deflecting questions about him making the start of the season.
In Arsene’s conference in Asia he confirmed the midfield maestro will not make the start of the season.
Wenger said: “Hopefully, we will get Wilshere back playing for October.
“With Abou Diaby returning, it will be like signing two new players. This season, the squad will be strong and competitive.”
Wilshere joins Bacary Sagna on the injury list ahead of the new season with both expected to return in autumn.
More speculation will inevitably build regarding the potential loan move for Nuri Sahin, who is being earmarked as a short term replacement for Wilshere, though Arsene dismissed rumours of Arsenal signing any players, we’re not so sure. With the news of this setback we expect someone to come in.
