Aaron Ramsey named man of the match against Chelsea – How the fans reacted
Aaron Ramsey put in a brilliant display as Arsenal got a draw at Premier League Champions Chelsea.
Mesut Ozil was missign through injury and Alexis Sanchez started on the bench.
It looked as though Arsenal were missing some star power in what could well be a glimpse of next season’s team.
However, the whole team performed brilliantly and Ramsey in particular stood out with a masterful display in midfield. He almost scored what would have been the only goal of the game when he broke through the Chelsea defence but found the post after beating Thibaut Courtois.
Fans took to social media to heap praise on the Welshman who could prove to be Arsenal’s most important player this time next year.
One fan loved that he outplayed last season’s PFA Player of the Year: “Our boy Aaron Ramsey playing N’Golo Kanté off the park. Life has peaked.”
While another added: “Aaron Ramsey bullying Kante and Fabregas is a wonderful sight.”
He was the man of the match for most including this fan: “Ramsey has been immense. No showboating, no fancy flicks, just undiluted diligence, graft and tenacity. Man of the match by a country mile.”
It was not just the Welshman that stood out though: “That was a thoroughly professional performance which is unlike us. Really think the work rate of Welbeck, Iwobi and Ramsey were massive.”
One errrrr…fan was saying this before the game.
BREAKING: No Sanchez or Ozil in starting XI & Ramsey/Xhaka 'running' our midfield. We're going to get stuffed. #cfcvafc

Always nice to see Piers quietened.
