Aaron Ramsey: This team mate is only going to get better and better
Aaron Ramsey has said that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will only get better and better.
Speaking to Arsenal.com he said: “Chambo has had a good season, it’s been his best scoring-wise, and he’s played in a few positions.
“Chambo is a big threat going forward, he’s very explosive and quick off the mark, he can go past players with ease and his final ball in has been very good – he’s had quite a few assists this year.
“He seems to have really kicked on this year, so he’s only going to get better and better.”
Chamberlain has been something of a revelation since the turn of the year. Even as Arsenal’s team performances were dropping, Chamberlain was performing well.
Then with a switch to a 3-4-3 he found himself in the unfamilair role of right wing back. He quickly made the position his own and was playing wonderfully until an injury a couple of weeks ago.
He was named as runner up in Arsenal’s player of the season voting and was also named in the England squad for games with Scotland and France next month.
He returned to training this week and should play some part in the FA Cup final, even if he does not start.
Ramsey and Chamberlain both have contracts that expire at the end of next season and could leave this summer. Hopefully both will sign new deals as they have played key roles in Arsenal’s turnaround towards the end of the season.
