Alexis Sanchez tells Arsenal when he will decide over his future
Alexis Sanchez will refuse to discuss his future at Arsenal until the end of the Confederations Cup, according to the Evening Standard.
He is away with Chile at the tournament and could be away until July 2 – just a couple of days before the start of Arsenal’s preseason.
Sanchez is carrying an ankle injury that saw him miss out on the starting line up in Chile’s opener but he came off the bench to set up both goals in their 2-0 victory.
The forward has just a year to run on his current deal and looks likely to leave the Emirates if he does not extend his contract with Arsenal.
Bayern are the favourites to land him if he leaves but he has been linked with Chelsea, PSG and Man City as well.
Arsenal are thought to want to bring in Alexander Lacazette, but will not make their move until the futures of Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are sorted.
