Arsenal chasing Monaco star – but not Kylian Mbappe
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Monaco’s wonderkid Kylian Mbappe for some time now, but it seems as though his team mate is the one on Arsenal’s radar.
According to the Mirror, Arsene Wenger is keen on the midfielder as Arsenal look to rebuild the squad this summer.
There is the possibility of losing Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain among others. So it is set to be a busy summer at the Emirates.
Lemar plays mainly on the left but can play elsewhere in midfield and could be seen as an ideal replacement should Alexis leave.
Lemar moved to Monaco in 2015 from Caen and Wenger has admitted in the past that he is an admirer of the France international.
The Mirror report that the fee could be in excess of £25m.
Lemar has been fantastic for Monaco this season and has played a big role in them becoming one of Europe’s most exciting teams.
