Arsenal edging closer to huge signing
Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Thomas Lemar, according to the Sun.
Arsene Wenger has been chasing the Frenchman all summer and now looks closer than ever to landing his man.
So far the Gunners have seen a couple of bids rejected but that has not put them off as the look to secure the Monaco star.
The Sun report that the deal could end up being for around £45m.
They also say that he has already agreed personal terms and has told Monaco that he wants to leave to move to North London.
Lemar is hoping to secure the move before Monaco’s game with PSG tomorrow afternoon.
He would be the third player that Wenger has added to his first team this summer after Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.
All three would be seen as first 11 players and not just additions to the squad. Arsenal have undoubtedly strengthened so far this summer but there is the potential to lose Alexis Sanchez and undo a lot of good work by the club.
