Arsenal extend unbeaten run to 14 matches
Arsenal continue their fine run of form with a regulation 3-1 victory over Stoke City on Wednesday night.
Arsenal’s campaign started off in the worst possible fashion with a 3-4 home defeat against Liverpool but since the setback, the Gunners have gone on a brilliant run of form and recently extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to 14 matches with a 3-1 triumph over Stoke City.
Arsenal started on the back foot after going down to a Charlie Adam penalty in the 29th minute of the game as Granit Xhaka gave away a silly penalty with an elbow on Joe Allen.
Nonetheless, Arsenal scored the equalizer just before half-time through Theo Walcott before Mesut Ozil handed the Gunners the lead shortly after the break with a exquisite lob over Stoke City goalkeeper Lee Grant.
Substitute Alex Iwobi secured the three points for Arsenal with a sliding finish in the 75th minute and the victory sees the Gunners move up to top place in the table, leapfrogging Chelsea on goal difference. The Gunners next square off against Everton at Goodison Park.
