Thousands of Arsenal fans to be ticketless for FA Cup semi-final

Almost 14,000 season ticket holders will not be able to attend the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

The club have around 45,000 season ticket holders, but have received just 32,637 tickets for the clash at Wembley.

Away scheme members and those with Platinum and Gold memberships that have been to three or more away games over the past two seasons will be guaranteed a ticket.

However, anybody not fitting those requirements will have to wait and see if the whole allocation is taken up.

It could leave somebody that has been to every game at the Emirates sitting at home watching the game.

Despite the FA increasing allocations for these games recently, there are still around 25,000 tickets that will be distributed between Club Wembley and the so called “football family.”

It is the same issue that fans have faced in recent years when the club has reached Wembley. There is never going to be a perfect solution, but almost as many tickets going to people that likely have no rooting interest in either team as to fans of the teams playing does not seem right.
