Arsenal injury boost as striker returns to training ahead of North London Derby
Lucas Perez was in training today after missing the past few games with injury.
The Spanish forward joined Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who was also a doubt for tomorrow’s game in training this morning.
Lucas has not been handed too many opportunities to play since joining in the summer. Largely used as a substitute and most appearances coming in the cups. His agent has however said that he is entirely focused on Arsenal and not thinking about leaving the club.
With a hectic schedule coming up he could get more of an opportunity to play. There should be plenty of rotation for this game with Leicester.
Chamberlain left Wembley on crutches with Arsene Wenger saying this morning that the medical team would assess him this morning.
The midfielder took a kick to the foot and the crutches were precautionary according to Wenger.
Chamberlain has perhaps been the club’s best performer over the second half of the season and has made himself a key part of the squad.
He was man of the match in Sunday’s win over Manchester City.
