The French striker has suffered some big injuries in his time with the Gunners and never really managed to break into the first team regularly.
However, he did play a big part in the team’s 2014 FA Cup triumph that ended Arsenal’s long run without a trophy.
Sanogo made just 20 appearances for the team, scoring just one goal.
He is obviously a talented player but like so many before him some bad luck with injuries combined with some other stuff meant that he never developed as he perhaps could have.
He represented France at every level of youth football.
It seems like a move back to France is most likely at this stage but he could still stay in England.
Arsenal are looking to bring in some big players this summer. A move for Kylian Mbappe has already been made.
