Arsenal target flattered by interest as Gunners look to sign him from Juventus
Juventus’ Mario Lemina has said he is flattered by Arsenal’s interest as the Gunners look to bolster their midfield their summer.
Arsenal have been reported to be interested in the Gabon international and he has confirmed that he would be interested in a move.
He has only been at Juve for a couple of years following a move from Marseille in 2015.
He has started just 16 games for the Italian giants and is becoming frustrated by the lack of playing time.
He could be available for around £20m.
Speaking to French news outlet Foot Mercato, he said: “I am flattered by the interest of Arsenal and Watford. I am playing for a big club now but I am happy about the interest of other clubs.
“I do not have a preference for any league. My future depends on who really wants me.
“I don’t think I’ll be moving to Lyon. I am from Marseille and I am not interested in joining them. I don’t think I have a chance to return to Marseille.”
Arsenal could be looking to add to their midfield with the future of Santi Cazorla a big doubt. He recently underwent yet more surgery and is not expected to be back until long into next season.
Arsenal have been linked with a number of players this summer. After missing out on Champions League football Arsene Wenger seems to be looking to rebuild his team.
Huge bids for Kylian Mbappe have already been made and the club are reported to be interested in a number of other stars.
