Arsenal transfers on hold for now
Arsenal will not make any signings until they have trimmed their squad down, according to Sky Sports.
The Gunners are still chasing players such as Thomas Lemar and Jean Michael Seri but will look to offload players before completing signings.
There have been two players that have come into Arsenal so far this summer. First Sead Kolasinac who moved on a free transfer after his contract expired at Schalke. Then Alexandre Lacazette who moved in a new club record deal.
The only player to leave the club so far is Wojciech Szczesny who moved to Juventus. This has left the club with a very large squad.
Lucas Perez is expected to move very soon after struggling to nail down a place in Arsenal’s first team.
He could well be followed by the likes of Mathieu Debuchy, Kieran Gibbs, Calum Chambers and Carl Jenkinson.
Once they have cut down the squad and trimmed the wage bill, the club will then pursue some more signings as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen the squad for a title push.
