Arsenal v Cologne: Predicted Line Up – The return of Jack Wilshere and how many youngsters will get a chance?
Arsenal open up their Europa League campaign on Thursday night when Cologne come to the Emirates.
This is the German side’s first appearance in Europe in a quarter of a decade and there are some 20,000 fans expected to make their way over to London for the clash.
Arsenal come into the game on the back of a good performance against Bournemouth where they took the three points in a comfortable 3-0 win.
However, the team we see on Thursday could look very different.
Arsene Wenger has said that he is taking the competition seriously but that does not mean he will not make plenty of changes – with Chelsea coming up at the weekend they may be needed.
It is the perfect opportunity to give some players needing some game time a chance and also to blood some youngsters into the team.
Reiss Nelson in particular has been impressing for the under 23s and should at least make the squad, if not the starting line up. He scored this wonderful free kick on Friday evening.

I expect the rest of the team to look very different. David Ospina is the only player that looks certain to start but we could see changes in every other position on the pitch.
We could see the return of Jack Wilshere and it would be a surprise if the likes of Rob Holding and Calum Chambers do not start.
Goalkeeper – David Ospina
Ospina looked set to leave the club this summer but he ended up staying to play as back up to Petr Cech. In recent years the club have had a policy that the second choice goalkeeper plays in Europe and the cups and that looks to be no different this year. Ospina will start.
