Arsenal v Leicester team news: Arsene Wenger gives an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain update
Arsenal take on Leicester at the Emirates tomorrow night and Arsene Wenger has given an update on the injuries of various members of the squad.
Arsenal head into the game on the back of one of their biggest wins of the season and with Sunday’s North London Derby looming, there is likely to be changes. Particularly because of the extra time played in the FA Cup semi-final.
Wenger said: “It is unknown territory at the moment because yesterday everybody was in recovery.
“We have medical checks today to see who is available. Nobody picked up any injuries in the game.”
Speaking about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leaving Wembley on crutches he said: “Oxlade-Chamberlain was more precautionary. It was not a bad injury. He will have a test today.”
Wenger said that it was a foot injury from a kick. At this stage, just three days after that game it would be a shock to see him in the starting line up. If Arsenal stick with three at the back then I would expect to see Hector Bellerin come in for the Englishman. In a 4-2-3-1 there are various options.
