Arsenal’s top 25 players under Arsene Wenger (16-20): Dutch winger and former captain both make the list
18 – Marc Overmars
Like many of the players in the 21-25 range, Overmars time at the club was fairly brief. He spent just three seasons at Arsenal but in that time he racked up 40 goals and was part of the double win in 1998.
The goal that many will remember Overmars for was his goal in the 1-0 win at Old Trafford that helped propel Arsenal to the Premier League title. He also scored in the title decider and FA Cup final that season. The Dutch winger was certainly one for the big occasion.
17 – Ray Parlour
An Arsenal man through and through, Parlour can still regularly be found at the club. Perhaps underrated by many as just a workhorse, ‘Romford Pele’ was so much more.
There were plenty of great moments in an Arsenal shirt for Parlour, but the one that many will remember most is his FA Cup final goal against Chelsea in 2002. His screamer from 25 yards will go down as one of the best goals in Cup final history.
