Arsene Wenger looks to build bridges with forward
Arsene Wenger has apologised to Lucas Perez over a number of issues in a meeting on Friday, accroding to the players agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle.
Lucas has become unhappy at Arsenal since signing just a year ago from Deportivo.
He has struggled for regular playing time and has largely been limited to playing in the cups – he made just two Premier League starts last season.
The Spaniard recently blasted the club after they stripped him of the number nine shirt to give to the newly signed Alexandre Lacazette.
Lovelle told Radio Marca Coruna that Wenger has apologised in particular for that incident and setting his price too high. Arsenal were originally looking for 15m euros for the wantaway forward.
He is expected to leave the club before the window and Lovelle claims that a return to Deportive la Coruna looks most likely despite receiving a number of offers for the player.
