Big change in the Mesut Ozil contract negotiations at Arsenal
Mesut Ozil has ended talks with Arsenal’s chief negotiator Dick Law in favour of talks with the owner’s son, Josh Kroenke.
According to Football.London the German has become frustrated with the lack of progress and has asked to speak directly to Kroenke.
Ozil reportedly wants a £300k per week deal, with the club not willing to go above £250k. However, that could change with the owner’s son involved.
Ozil and Kroenke have a good relationship according to football.London and it could help the club hang on to one of it’s biggest stars.
The 28-year-old has had a disappointing season after a very good year in 2015/16, but is reportedly happy in London and would like to sign a new deal.
There have been reports of a reshuffle in the backroom at Arsenal and Dick Law is one that some think could be heading out the door at the Emirates if it does happen.
