Koscielny to sign new contract according to TF1-Reports emerging from France suggest Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny is close to signing a new contract at the Emirates.
TF1are reporting that his agent was in London today to over see the final details of Koscielny’s contract extension. Despite reports in the last few days suggesting that Barcelona and Inter Milan were interested in the French international, it seems Koscielny has opted to stay with at Arsenal.
It is thought Laurent Koscielny will sign a 3 year extension to his current deal which due to expire in 2014. It was expected the club would offer an new contract following his recent impressive form and having established himself as a first team regular.
Koscielny’s contract extension will be welcome news for both fans and the club, who have been criticised recently of allowing key players to enter the last year of their contracts as seen with the current Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott situations. With Koscielny signing his new deal could Walcott be persuaded to sign a new contract?
