Massive Arsenal transfer news: Arsenal bid £87m for French superstar
Arsenal have offered £90m (€100m) for Kylian Mbappe, according to French newspaper l’Equipe.
The 18 year old is one of the hottest properties in football after impressing for Monaco in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
Pretty much every one of Europe’s biggest clubs are said to be chasing the wonderkid but Arsenal are the latest to submit a bid.
Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of Mbappe and reportedly contacted him a year ago about a move to Arsenal.
What is unclear is if Mbappe would even want to leave Monaco. He has said in the past that he is happy to stay.
One thing that could give Arsenal the edge over rivals for his signature is that Arsenal will be able to guarantee him more playing time – something that appears to be very important for him.
Real Madrid have seemed like the most likely team to land him, but he could easily go there and sit on the bench for a couple of years as so many have done before him.
The draw of Arsene Wenger is still a real thing as well. His links with Monaco could help to seal the deal for the Gunners.
