It seems as though Ali Al-Habsi has some what jumped the transfer rumour gun, and surprised us all, with the news that Ryo Miyaichi, will be joining Wigan on a season long loan.

Very little has been said about the young Japanese wonder-kid, with the news of Van Persie and Alex Song more recently dominating the headlines.

Ryo has been touted by many as a future star for the Emirates faithful but as of now, he is seen by many as far off the finished article. Wenger is famous for loaning out some of his top young players to gain valuable first team experience before giving them their shot in the first team.

This is what Al-Habsi had to say on his twitter account.

“I am happy that our team, Wigan, has acquired Japanese Arsenal player Ryo on loan for a season who was also loaned out to Bolton. It’ll be nice to have a fellow Asian with me in the team.”

Miyaichi joins many players who have left on loan this summer, most notably Benik Afobe, who made an impressive start to his Bolton spell, scoring a hat-trick on debut.
