No deals for two Arsenal stars as Premier League clubs target deals – could still sell
Arsenal have turned down offers for Calum Chambers and Mohamed Elneny, according to reports.
The Sun have reported that Elneny turned down the chance to join Leicester after Arsenal accepted a £10m offer.
He loves life in London but he could still be sold this summer as Arsene Wenger looks to trim his squad down.
It would be a shame to see the Egyptian sold – particularly for such a low price. He does not always light things up but he is very reliable and can cover both Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka in the Gunners midfield.
The club have also rejected a £16m bid for Chambers from Crystal Palace – they are holding out for at least £20m, according to the Telegraph.
The Englishman spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough and has now been deemed surplus to requirements.
Despite Arsenal moving to a back three, Chambers would be behind Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding, Per Mertesacker, Nacho Monreal and Gabriel in the pecking order.
It is thought that Arsenal would try to secure a buy back clause in any deal for the young defender.
