Tello Linked With Move
Christian Tello, has been linked again in the press with a move to Arsenal in January. Reports are that the Barcelona winger is stalling over a new deal and could be sold for a little as £8 million to prevent the 21-year-old leaving for nothing next summer.
These reports come as Theo Walcott’s contract saga drags on into the final weeks of 2012, many see any potential move for Tello as his direct replacement. A similar player to Walcott, Tello is quick, agile and tricky. Although yet to cement his place in the Barca side, Tito Vilanova saw enough potential to add him to the 2012-2013 roster.
Rumours are that after stealing Nuri Sahin from under our noses in the summer, Liverpool are also interested.
3 Players Back For Derby
Theo Walcott, Wojciech Szczęsny and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are back in the squad for the North London derby on Saturday. Walcott pulled up in the final stages of the Fulham game, Chamberlain has been out for the last months with a hip problem and Szczęsny returns after missing 2 months through injury. Although Kieran Gibbs is unfortunately expected to miss this one, as he is struggling with a thigh problem.
Sagna Happy at Arsenal
Sagna has been expressing his love for the club on the Arsenal website, and is quoted as saying:
‘(the club) is like my family. My personal family is in France but I feel at home here, I feel happy to come training and I feel relaxed. There are not many big clubs where you feel that confident.’
The 29-year-old right back is approaching 5 years at the club after signing in 2007. The French international goes on to say:
“It has been magic. I’ve enjoyed a lot playing for Arsenal and I still love it,”
A quality defender I’m sure you’ll all agree, and I hope we can get a few more great seasons out of him. Congrats Bacary!
