Arsenal complete the signing of Danny Welbeck
Arsenal have secured the services of Danny Welbeck from rivals Manchester United in a shock £16million deal.
Arsenal have managed to bolster their attacking lineup on deadline day with the signing of England international Danny Welbeck from rivals Manchester United.
It has been revealed that Arsenal paid around £16million to secure the services of Welbeck and the 23-year-old has signed a ‘long-term’ deal with the North London side.
Welbeck had been with Manchester United since the age of eight and had made 142 appearances for the Red Devils before his departure from Old Trafford.
Following the arrival of Radamel Falcao, United boss Louis van Gaal deemed Welbeck surplus to requirements and the striker will now look to revive his career at Arsenal.
Arsenal confirmed the signing of Welbeck by releasing the following statement on their official website, “Everyone at Arsenal welcomes Danny to the club and looks forward to his contribution in an Arsenal shirt this season.”
